There and Back Again: Techniques of Travel Writing

To travel is to move from one place to another. A core component of travel writing is the exploration of place—whether that place is strange and unfamiliar, or somewhere near and dear to the heart. Most importantly, travel writing is sharing the experience of place with an audience in a manner so captivating that they, too, want to capture the spirit of YOUR adventure and make it their own. This 5 month course will explore all the ways to embody the essence of a place through captivating narrative storytelling.  The workshop will culminate in an (optional to participants) live reading of completed work at LLCC.
